As part of the ISE Eiffel 3 software development environments,EiffelStore provides a set of classes for writing Eiffel applicationsthat need to handle persistent objects. It handles interfacing withseveral standard DBMS (Oracle, Ingres, Versant) ensuring true portabilityof database applications.The library interface consists of two sets: 1) General classes designedindependent of any data management system used. 2) Specific classes,referred to by general classes, bridging the application to selected datamanagement systems.
